are peltiers with a heatsink really better than the usual heatsink/fan combo? i would really like to know because im about to invest around 50-60 bucks on a PelTec combo which includes a 68W peltier, a 25cfm fan, and an alpha pep66 heatsink. are peltiers safe, and if anyone out there has a peltier, can u please reply to this thred. thanks

<<are peltiers safe>>

No, with a 68 watt you need to seal against condensation, also you need to protect against a heatsink fan failure. (software or hardware monitor)

Peltier work best with water cooling.

A 300 watt power supply will be on the light side, 400 or higher is better.
