Peltier and Condensation

I did have a 52W peltier cooling my CPU with an Alpha P3125 cooler. I believe I did a pretty good job of sealing things off. I checked it a couple of times and never noticed any condensation. Months later, the CPU was unstable and not even booting some of the time. I checked the CPU and there were 2 or 3 drops of water on the copper plate and the CPU. Luckily, I was able to save the CPU and it cleaned up pretty nicely.

I think I know what might have been the problem. I feel a little foolish if this might have caused it. The second time I checked for condensation, I checked it and quickly put the unit back together. I remember the cold plate frosting over since it was so cold. Is this where the water probably came from because I didn't wait for this to melt and then dry it up?? If I have this problem again, should I just take a blow dryer to the cold plate or just leave it out look enough to evaporate??

use silicon to seal up the slotket..you are very lucky the water did not short our your system. Try to use better insulation too.
