I am cutting and pasting from an e-mail I sent to the tech support at millisec.com. If you haven't purchased anything from them before and are looking for cooling gear, I highly recommend them. Very fast shipping. They actually list their phone numbers too. Very dedicated folks.

Anyways, here's my e-mail to him:

Hello, I have just gotten my brand new Leufken's kit peltier. I'm very ecstatic this time about the possibilities of higher CPU speeds. However, I was wondering if the instructions I got were any different for a P7125 installation. I got instructions for a Alpha P125, and I ordered a K7 kit. Right now, what I have I have done are the following:

Applied Thermal Paste
Place peltier cold side up, on top of the thermal paste
Removed the Peltier
Applied Superglue on all four corners of the peltier
Reapplied the peltier on the Alpha
Let it cure for almost a day
Bought Aluminum/Metal Waterproof silicone based caulk
Applied the caulk around the peltier
Placed foam on peltier
Applied 8lb dumbbell weight on top of the peltier and foam

I don't have a cold plate and the descriptions of the contents on your site, say that the K7 Kit does not include a cold plate. That means I just leave my K7 Transfer plate on, right? Which screws do I use to attach my K7 processor to the Alpha/Peltier combo?

Also, would my computer benefit from a card cooler, that places a 120mm fan directly over the CPU?

Here is what I was thinking about buying: Card Cooler

This time around, I'm not gonna screw up and I ask for your help so that I don't:) I plan on reformatting my computer soon, is my new Peltier cooled processor going to be fine? I realize this is basically a permanent solution, as the peltier won't budge from the Alpha heatsink. Also, is there a reason why my peltier only likes some of the molex power supply connectors that my Enermax 330WATT power supply supplies?

So what do you guys think?

Thanks,
Paul

Yo,I had/have a Luefkins peltier.I used it for a while and quite. For me it was to much of a hassle for what I was doing.I can relate to your post,I went thru the peltier learning curve also.I just bought a faster cpu, rather than trying to o/c the one I had,a p2-400.What speed/cpu you doing?

squirrel dog,

I too had a leufken's peltier when I was trying to overclock my PII-400. Things didn't turn out so well.

Now I have a 700MHZ T-bird Slot-A and Alpha P7125. I'm running it right now...so I don't think I messed up, knock on wood:)

Outstanding! I went to a 366@550 cel,ran that for awhile, now I have a 633@950 cel.I just went to a much larger case, the mid tower I had,I couldnt seem to keep it cool regardless of fans/placement.Plus its a clamshell case,I put a hole in the side of it with a 92mm fan, when you take the case of the wire to the fan falls out all over.I went to an addtronics 7980.It can run ten fans, but its so large four fans gets the air moving nicely, and has very little fan noise. The only down side to me is the weight. Its over 40lbs empty.I need to get casters for it.

so you still have peltiers? I have an Enlight 7237 and I feel it's kinda cramped now. I'm going to get that Card Cooler XT sooner or later. you think that might help out much?
