Peer-to-Peer PocketPC to PC

I have a laptop at work with a wireless embedded 802.11 radio. I also have a compactflash radio for my PocketPC. Shouldn't there be a way to do a peer-to-peer network between the two while I'm at work so that I can synch via RF? I don't use my wireless at work otherwise, so I'd be willing to configure my laptop as a wireless "server" if needed (if possible).
 
Configure the CF and the Laptop to Wireless AD-HOC Mode (it is in the drivers), and they will be able to sync.
