we did this, too - the air trapped in the marshmellow expands, of course, and so does the peep.

But when returned to atmospheric pressure it was halfway deflated because an amount of the air that was trapped had escaped, leaving empty pockets.

One of the saddest things you will ever see is a halfway-deflated peep. It's sadder than the death of littlefoot's mother.

Wow. I'm amazed that there apparently are a bunch of teachers out there who do this experiment for students. I still remember my teacher doing this and stinking out an entire wing of the school. In this day and age, they'd dismiss the students early and the administration would be super irritated with the teacher.

It was the Easter Special last year (or two years ago?). It was a rip of Da Vinci Code, but with the pope being a rabbit instead. The professor used peeps to kill the ninjas that the church had hired. There used to be clips on youtube of it, but they are all taken down.

I'm sure you have all seen it. But it has to be linked to this thread. Sad, but this was my favorite youtube video for a long time. MORTAL PEEP FIGHT! Watch it with the sound on and you can't help but just laugh along with them.
