Pedro better step up tomorrow. Schilling is a stud and I'm sure he could take care of the Yanks. Wakefield is great against the Yanks for some weird reason.
How about those Texas Rangers! They swept the A's and are only 2 games back of first place! Not too shabby there. Would be amazing if they actually made it..and Showalter would get manager of the year. I mean really... from dead last one year to first the next??? With barely any major changes to the whole roster too.

I kid, I kid...
Yup, series DOES matter because if Boston got homefield advantage they would benefit the most from it. They are nearly unbeatable in the playoff at Fenway... either way, I like Boston's chances because if they did take the AL East I think Boston can beat Minny at Fenway, Santana has never played in such a frenzied atmosphere like Fenway and is definitely "beatable". Although even with the wildcard Boston will most likely stomp any team from the West. Last but not least, dethroning NY after they were up 10.5 on Aug 15th would be nothing short of priceless, given that they have never blown 6.5 and > ever.Originally posted by: ThePresence

Yes, but first place in the east is still up for grabs. Yankees clinched a postseason spot today.

That being said, I hope the Sox win all games this weekend.
Yeah I'm delusional and lie yet Boston is tied with NY for the best home record in baseball (noone's even close to them except ST.Louie 2 games behind). I don't lie when I say that opposing teams' odds of winning at Fenway in the playoffs is multiplied by 10, ask anyone who remotely follows baseball, hell even any NYY fan can tell you this. U betta recognize whoadee.Originally posted by: gigapet

This is a huge game for Pedro. I know the BoSox are heading to the playoffs, but he needs to show the fans at Fenway that he can take care of the Yanks right now. Its called giving your fans and teammates confidence. He stunk up Yankee Stadium in his last start..he can't repeat that again. If he does how can any Red Sox fan have confidence in him?

Pedro's ERA is 6th in the AL I believe. He's choked against only 4 teams this year.
