After watching Pedro over the last few years it was the biggest unspoken secret in baseball.
It was clear when he was pitching for the Red Sox that he injured his shoulder. He completely changed his pitching motion and style.
At 35 years of age he may never be back.

everyone knew that. It wasn't unspoken, they even said he had a tear deep in his labrum that was a time bomb. This was common knowledge. Everyone knew this day would come

He could have ran away from the old man instead he flung him to the ground like a spare tire. Pedro looked like a punk in that incident. period.
I'm not saying what Don did was right, but if some fat old fart charged me I would run away. Not like Don could run and catch me (or The Punk).

I think every Mets fan expected this but figured he could at least give 2 good years but he didn't even do that. He was great last year and certainly put tons of seats in Shea but everyone figured this would happen sooner or later. I wonder if the Mets have some kind of insurance policy on him (similar to that Mo Vaughn deal).
