I watched "Pearl Harbor" again today and think it is an excellent movie. I have heard people said it'd a not very good. What do you think about it?

I really like fact that the bomb of Tokyo is included.

BTW, does anyone think "First Knight" is a good movie? I like it too, better than Breatheart even.

I thought Pearl Harbor was okay. not as bad as everyone said.
First knight was pretty good, I liked it. But better than Braveheart...I have to disagree

I don't like how hollywood rewrites history. FDR and the government knew about the attack and even tried to force the Japanese to attack American battleships before Pearl Harbor.
The fact that hollywood glorifies FDR is not surprising seeing that they are liberal spin artists.
The sceen where FDR stands up (complete hollywood bulls$$t) made me sick, i felt like pissing on his grave.

Read "Day of Deceit" for the TRUTH of Pearl Harbor.
Two MAJOR facts...
1.) We BROKE the Japanese code before Pearl Harbor; therefore, we heard them send their orders to attack Pearl Harbor.
2.) The radar was not untested and infact improved technology from the british (the leaders of radar at the time). Moreover, the operators sent messages saying they were CERTAIN it was a major JAPANESE offensive, but the transitions they sent were help up by the government; arl Harbor FINALLY got the messages AFTER the attack.

So given this information, the movie is sick by protraying FDR as an innocient defender of America; moreover, having that communitst, Alec Baldwin, play a patrotic American made my blood boil.

"What do you think about it?"

Not much. Tried from the beginning to be a box office hit rather than a great movie.

Great movies:
Heat
Traffic
American Beauty
Gladiator
etc....

<< First Knight better than Braveheart?

Bwahahahahahaha!

That is like comparing Glitter to Annie Hall.
>>

lol. First Knight was alright when it first came out but now its just crap. I can't stand to watch Richard Gere play a hero and have Sean Connery die at the same time. Thats like completely the opposite of what should happen! :D Pearl Harbor was alright, but I don't really like these 2 guy and 1 girl movies. Quite awkward.

You're taking it too far...there were people who suspected, people who wanted to be more careful, etc. but it's not the *huge* conspiracy you're making it out to be ;)

Anyhow, watch Tora! Tora! Tora! for something a little more accurate

"Pearl Harbor" was horrible. Hollywood's creative license aside, the plot just blew. The acting was medicore at best. And Michael Bay needs to stick to action flix 'cause he can't tell a story to save his life.

"First Knight" while more entertaining than "Pearl Harbor" is a complete butchering of Arthuriana legend. "The Mists of Avalon" or "Excalibur" are better "Arthur" movies IMO.

Japanese want you to believe that. FDR was a great president in my book.

yeah, dude u are taking it way too far. there is some speculation that they knew pearl harbour would be attacked, ever notice all the major carriers were tucked away and didn't get hit. but, still, its not this huge conspiracy.
