OK, I have two different laptops a compaq armada and a dell latitude CPi D300XT, both are pentium II laptops, w/ a 300 mhz proc. The college i attend uses PEAP to authenticate users to their wireless network. I have helped people get thier laptops onto the network dozens of times, but i cant get these two on. I have used numerous different wireless adapters that have been able to get on to other networks just fine, and one that has been used on my friend's p4 machine to actually get on this network. I have also used the same exact cd for windows xp and 2000 to install on different hardware and used the same wireless adapters to get on the network too, so it would seem that the problem lies in the pentium II hardware somewhere. Btw, both of these laptops can connect to other wireless connections not using PEAP. I really need a solution here, anyone got some serious brains here to figure this out?

you need to provide more information about the laptops as well as the wireless network. operating system, service packs, wireless software (windows or 3rd party), encryption, info on peap credentials, etc.

first thing that pops into mind is that with a pII, you're probobly not running XP. not sure if it provides native support or not...
