Peachtree Accouting Problem

I know Peachtree sucks, but at my work we are having a minor issue with it. Maybe somebody here knows a little about it.

Here it goes. One computer has Peachtree Accounting Version 6 on it, when you open it up it automatically retrieves the company database off the server and
has you type in password. We installed it on a new computer because original was acting funny. You open Peachtree and nothing happens you have to manually
go into File Open and browse to your company database to have it open it. What is going on! Is there some setting we missed that has it do it automatically.
