Hi

I am trying to print my final paper to pdf. Problem is, that the pdf printers I have tried, all compress the pictures inside the paper, to the point where they look hideous. They leave vector images alone, but bitmap images get the treatment.

Do any of you know a pdf printer that DOESN'T compress the pictures, or at least one where you can set it to not compress that much?

I have tried:
CutePDF
Foxit PDF
PDF Creator
PrimoPDF

Probably any of those can be set how much they compress pictures. I know PDFCreator can for sure be set to not compress pictures.

My friend had a similar problem a few months ago. He was able to get PDF Creator to not compress them.

That should be a user selectable option in your PDF software. I had Acrobat (full) and it had that - as does Nitro PDF. The latter replaced Acrobat because it is really better - has a Microsoft Office GUI. The printer prints whatever it is told to print by the PDF forming software.

You might try pdf995. I use it to convert a monthly organizational newsletter from Word to PDF. This newsletters always contains some graphics and I've never experienced degradation of the quality of images when using pdf995.
