I have a PDF file in which I have to move a block of text about an inch down, in order to extend the paragraph above it.

I tried with Adobe Acrobat Standard 7.0.

I tried exporting to a DOC file, but it turned one PDF page into multiple DOC pages, with each section on a different page.

I tried turning the section into a JPG, but can't figure out how to insert a JPG file back into the PDF.

Suggestions?

EDIT: See 6th post for solution

You will probably need Acrobat Writer. I'm not positive, but if you have another PDF editor, it might allow you to do that as well.

Ok, I figure it out using Acrobat, but it's roundabout, and really stupid that it has to be done this way. :|:|:|

For anyone else who may run into this problem:

First, use the Text Touch-Up Tool to copy the PDF text to a Word Doc.

Reformat the text, because it loses all formatting when you cut and paste.

In the PDF, use the Text Touch-up tool to delete all the text.

In the PDF, Create a Text Box (for Commenting). For some bizarre reason, Adobe's text box text editor works fine. The Text Touch-Up Tool text editor is seriously screwy.

Cut the text from the Word DOC, and Paste into the Text Box.

Now you have a Comment box in your original PDF. This will not normally print out on a printer.

Go to Print. Under the Comments and Forms drop-down box, Make sure Document and Markups is selected.

Print to a PDF file. Yes, you are printing a PDF file TO another PDF file. This makes the Comment box into a normal part of the PDF.

Adobe sux.
