it works great. i'm using it now since my home connection is down for some reason. i don't mean to abuse this, since i know how the wireless companies are about their 3g networks. i'm only using it for gmail, atot, and the occasional wiki pages. do you think verizon will find out and charge me extra for this?

Not unless you somehow manage to use over 1GB of data in a day, no they aren't going to notice.

I'm sure if they really wanted to, they would be able to tell, but VZW being the largest (subscriber wise) wireless provider in the US, that would probably involve a lot of digging on their part and it probably isn't worth the hassle.

Just wait until the Eris is rooted and you can enjoy the greatness that is wireless tether. Best program I have on my hero.
