ive used the Treo 700p and the VX6700 on verizon (windows)

the windows version is slow, the multitasking kills memory so fast, and its hard to dial because its onscreen dialing.

i like the programs available for windows, and the wireless, but i dont like the laggyness, and how hard it is o dial, although it does have voice command, and i have been slowly doing that for everything.

i also dont like the calender, although im on the search for a new calender to use so as to keep the stuff better organized. the one on the palm was easier.

however, i like hte wifi that i can get, and its useful that is why i have the VX6700 still compared to the 700p.

thank you for the input. i guess the best thing to do is go play with a few smartphones and pda's and see what works best for me. great thing is that i just found out that through my work, i can get the downloads for lexi-comp and micromedex for free!! that's knocks off a couple hundred bucks for me. Both programs run on windows and palm os. if anyone out there has used these programs (or medical programs) on their own pda or smartphone, please let me know your opinion.

went to best buy to see if i could test out some pdas....but they don't have any to test out. they only have phones, smartphones, and laptops for testing. no pdas.

before i run out somewhere else, where is a good place to go where i can test out a variety of pdas? )i figure could go to the cingular store to test out treos)

thanks

Some things to think about:
-If you are in hospitals alot, remember cell phones are frowned down upon and cannot be on in certain areas if you planned on looking up drug info while rounding on patients or something.
-Get a cheap PDA if you must. I've had my PDA for more than 3 years now and rarely use it mainly because it's a pain carrying around with a phone, wallet, and keys already in my. pockets. Don't waste alot of money.
