Do you use it "stock" and just add data or do you add programs and customize the themes, etc?

the only thing i have on my Clie is DateBk5.

not really visually customizing, but it makes my Clie's datebook more powerful.

This is a computer enthusiast forum... so its a good bet that most people do a bit more with their pdas than just add lunch meetings.

I've got a few games, a bunch of ebooks, avantgo (for newspapers and The Onion) and a couple of utilities on mine.

Going to trade up for a colour pocketpc (or whatever they are called now) soon, so I can get some decent UK mapping software on it too.

all PPC's are color now, so that shouldn't be an issue when you upgrade :)

First, get WISBar, it's free and quite possibly the most useful PDA program ever. It allows you to tap + hold to close programs, rather then just minimize them. It can also put a battery meter on your taskbar, which is nice.

I have a custom James Bond theme I installed using the MS Theme Maker program for PPC. Other than that, it's stock.

Having a palmOS pda, you don't get a whole lot of stuff beyond the basic PIM apps on it. So yea, I've used all but 3 of my 16MBs of memory on other software and stuff.

Mine has a blue light behind the display, a plexiglass window on the back, and it's painted bright orange.

There are also pieces of software that you can add, to turn your PDA into almost a windows themed machine with actual background wallpaper, and colored icons.... looks pretty sweet actually

Customize? It has its very own shelf in my office, where it lives full-time.

It's been a while since I used it.
