I just purchased and installed my studio PCTV PRO card. I have windows me and everything seemed to go fine during the installation. The only thing is that the auto tuner only picked up two channels. I believe the reason for this is the fact that the quality of the picture on the channels is so bad. I have lines going down the screen and it worse on channels where the reception is worse. I have the studo pctc pro card installed on IRQ 12 and it is all alone there. None of the IRQ's in my system are shared. I have the cable spliced but I have tried to use it the cable from the wall with the same results. I have a cable modem and the speed is real good.
Thank you

Sorry if this is a dumb question but are you subscribed to cable TV or just splitting it from the cable modem line?
The reason I ask is that video traps will let 2 channels through that are close to the upstream and downstream channels for the modem.

That was a good question but yes I am subscribed to cable tv here in my area. I have a wintv usb and it is ok but the picture resolution is not the highest. It looks a little fuzzy. I think that is due to the usb connection. I heard that information is transferred a lot faster on the pci bus. That is why usb things are not real good for video capture. I will say that the quality picture of my usb logitech camera is not good. I wonder if windows me could be part of that. I get all the stations and they come in clear on my wintv card but this pctv pro card will not pick up but two channels. I think i am going to have to return it.

I had crappy reception on my Hauppauge WinTV PCI at college. After I pushed cable through a VCR and viewed the VCR with the composite video in on my WinTV card, reception improved greatly.
