Set the high bit to shift the character set to the IBM Graphics characters.
CGA could give you four colors in 320x200, but a Hercules card was even better.
Yeah, there are 25 pins on the connector, but only hook up 2,3 and 7.
ATDT
1 long and 1 short beep? Crap, that's the system board.
If you put that coprocessor in, remember to set SW1-2 to off.
Put this in your ANSI.SYS: PROMPT $e[35;44];1m$p$g$e[33;44];1m
Don't set BUFFERS=10 because you only have 256k RAM.
Your problem with EDLIN is that you are in insert mode.
Is that expanded or extended?
Don't get that Maxtor XT1050. It's got 38MB and a ST412 interface, but no cache. The Tandon TM246 is a lot bigger.
Who has my copy of Visicalc?

🙂

The good old days 🙂

Hooking up an RO33 teletype to my TRS-80 model 1 for a printer
Buying an 8K RAM cart for my Atari 800
Plugging in 18 DIP chips to up my IBM-AT clone PC to 640K of RAM

This game needs EMS, but I'm already setup for XMS! %$*&! Now I have to create another boot disk!
I was a real grump about switching from edlin to edit 😛

I remember being frustrated at how 486 motherboards with Vesa Local Bus video slots had less high memory available than on my old reliable AMD 386-40 MHz system.

LOADHIGH=C:\DOS\MOUSE.SYS

or something like that 🙂
