PCs in Living room? elegant solution?

I dont know if anyone else does this but me and my girlfriend have decided that we would rather have our PCs setup in our living room instead of up in our musty bedroom. The main reason being that we like to play World of Warcraft for hours and our 56" HDTV is downstairs.

Does anyone know of an elegant solution for doing this? Do you put the pcs on either end of the sofa and put a little stand infront of either of you with the LCDs?

Do you put the PCS all the way over by the entertainment center and just run long arse cables from the pcs to the 'user'

do you have any other ideas? I'd like it to still look like a living room but at the same time be able to satisfy my geek needs.

Elegant? I have a Cooler Master ATC-600. Looks nice in the stereo cabinet with the rest of my HT equipment. Way more choices have been released over the last couple of years.

I use a Logitech LX700. However, it's RF...if you're sitting more than 12 feet from your system, you'll probably want to go Bluetooth.

We've tried wireless in the past we find that it "just doesnt work" that well. How do you have your monitors positioned?

Does anyone know if there is a way to transmit keyboard video and mouse over cat5? it would be awesome if all we had running for dvi/usb kbd/usb mse was a cat5 cable.

I don't have monitors for my HT, it's a Toshiba 32" TV, and it's sitting next to the stereo cabinet. But I digress, monitors and TV position has nothing to do with wireless keyboard/mouse operation. And my old MX Duo has been an excellent gaming keyboard/mouse setup for years, so whatever you used that "just doesn't work" either was really bad quality hardware, or not configured properly.

No, Cat5 cannot be utilized for input devices, it is designed for data transmission.
