the clock on my pc keeps falling back 3 hours and 15 minuets. im not sure when it happens, but it seems like every time i change it, the next day its falls back. any ideas?

Check to make sure that your timezone is set correctly. Windows XP automatically synchronizes with a timeserver, and if your timezone is incorrect it will grab the wrong time.

Other than that, your CMOS battery may be dying.

Also, wrong forum.

CMOS battery.
Not necessarily.

Mine is doing the opposite. The CMOS clock is correct and the battery is good. Windows is wrong. Since its a windows issue on my PC, I am not sure what caused it.

MS does have a KB article on my issue.

CMOS battery... the little round silver battery looking thing located usually on the lower portion of the motherboard. Switch it out with a new one and you'll be good.
