Nope; PowerVR has some very good stuff; but not PS4 killer; or even Xbox1 killer.......here's why.......software

they can shout all they want; but until its in a full console; playing full games and not mobile games; full controller support and actually beating Xbox1 or PS4......in sales for several months......its all just PR

And Imagination's own slides place it as (slightly?) more powerful than the GeForce GT730m (http://images.anandtech.com/doci/8716/7XT_SKUs.png). In other words, not even close to the XBONE or PS4. The GT 730m reaches slightly more than 500 GFLOPS, while the PS4s GPU does more than 1.8 TFLOPS, and the XBONE 1.3

What's up with the naming? Sure as hell, they could have been more "innovative".

Is there a way to bench GFLOPS, the same way we can with CPU?

While this isn't really going to do what the OP's title claims, it sure would be nice to see PowerVR make some significant progress with their tech and make an entrance back into the world of discrete GPUs.

The market seriously needs more than two competitors for the discrete marketshare, and it was a good day when there were a handful of competitors.

A GT 730M isn't even close to the Xbone, LMAO ...

This isn't even news. The GT7900 configuration was announced alongside the rest of Series 7XT in November.
