pcmcia videocard for laptop?

Hi,

I remember reading an article about someone releasing a pcmcia videocard for laptops? Was I just dreming or has someone heard/read/seen/ about such thing. I would be interested on upgrading my existing integrated video on my lappy. Links and other ifo appreciated!

They do make them for 2D purposes, but not for 3D.

CardBus is an extension of the PCI bus inside a laptop; it's not an AGP connection, so it won't be fast.

Probably the best known PCMCIA video card is the Appian Traveler.

Dang, was hoping for a GF4 w. 128Mb so bus wouldnt matter so much . Thanks Andy!
