PCMCIA USB adapter question

Hi,

I am wondering whether anyone has experience using a Type II adapter in Type III slot. My client reported that i didn't work . But, I definately could use some help

"Didn't work" isn't really much to go on. Model of laptop? Model of USB adapter? Was it PCMCIA or CardBus? Were the drivers installed correctly? Did the OS recognise the card? Were 32-bit card services installed and activated?
