Hi all,
Can someone recomend a good pcmcia SATAII 3gb/s card.
I have never used one so I don't know which brand is good.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think there are any SATA II 3 gbs PCMCIA cards. All I can find are "up to" 1.5 GBS. The mimitation, I believe, is the PCMCIA bus itself.

There is, however, a PCI Express (54) card that touts 3 GBS. New laptop? 🙂

3 GBS

I use the Vantec 1.5 GBS coupled with their NexStar 3 eSATA external case. Works well, but top speed is rarely achieved.

this apparently does exist but its expresscard and not PCMCIA
does this mean that expresscard is superior to PCMCIA in terms of bandwidth??
legacy nerdism in effect😉
