I recently bought a PCMCIA compact flash card reader.. unfortunately, my laptop had win95 on it, and did not have the removeable drive support that i needed. tonight i decided i would format my laptop and stick win98 on there. after all that, win98 detects my CF card reader just fine. however, what shows up on the removeable drive is pretty weird. sometimes the file names are images, and sometimes the filenames are weird ascii characters. also, the files have really weird permissions or something of the like. when it does happen to show as a normal image, when i try to copy the image file to my local hard drive, it tells me that i don't have access to copy or something like that. on the rare occaision that I can copy or view the images on the card, they are corrupt. the top inch or so of the image is normal, but the rest is usually just one color.
has anyone else had this problem, or any ideas on how to fix this?
