PCMARK 05 Scores

Thats a monster O/C on that Newcastle! Good job

Is that the 754 or 939 version?

*edit*

I see by your sig your running 3 sticks of ram, must be a 754

3590 with my P-M@2.4ghz
for some reason on my P4 system, it won't finish and give me a score, it gives 0.000 for the virus scan of the last test.

thas a very niec OC for the pentium, i am still lagging behind with a 3 ghz... cannot run it on the p4 since its at my florida home and i am in california until july 23. might as well give this a64 3400+ a try though. how do you figure out if its venice, winchester or what?

I have only ran it...

1.8@2.52ghz 166div 2.5-4-4-7, 1t = 4073

1.8@2.6ghz 133div 2.5-4-4-8, 1t = 4119

Have yet to run it at my sig settings...Doing other things right now....

3854 🙁 sounded low to me. Specs are 3500+ @ 2.4GHz / 1Gig corsair 2-2-2-5 @ 400MHz / 6800gt agp @ 432/1170 / 74Gig raptor. Matt and cabroker is that 04 or 05 scores. If 05 then something is wrong wit my machine lol.

6678 today @ specs below!

That puts me in the top 15 for X2 owners on PC Mark 05. My E-penis is huger than ever

Nice OC.

Are those 754 A64s able to achieve those relatively large OCs b/c of the single channel ram? Or is it b/c of relatively less die space/transistors used and thus, heat? Or is it both?

I'm sorry? Mine is socket 939.. it is the 90nm process so I do believe the heat and power consumption for both cores is not far off from the 130nm FX55

Nah, 130nm a64s are generally worse overclockers than E stepping 90 nm cpus. The OP just has a really good one.

EDIT: By the way, I think memory bandwidth affects PCmark quite a bit, so you're at a bit of a disadvantage against 939 a64s.

Frackal - Sorry my comment was to the OP. Most of us were expecting his to be a 754 based on some of the clues. However, my question still stands and I hope someone can answer that.

OP-Nevertheless, nice OC on your cpu. Now that I think about it...I do remember a post here a couple of months ago where someone asked if it was good or bad that he had such a cpu and if I'm not mistaken, a lot of people said he had a rare cpu (i.e. 939 3400+ stock @ 2.4 GHz), so it is possible. Also if I'm not mistaken, there's one that is 130nm and has a 1600HT instead of 2000HT.

I was thinking the 939 3400+ was a 2.2Ghz/512k L2/1600HT chip, they lowered the performance rating 100 'cause of the HT...

Furen, you're correct...but I think they did produce some @ 2.4...unless all the searches I did took me to webpages where a bunch of people were lying lol.

If that's 939 like he's saying...you would achieve basically the same performance as the 3500+. The only difference is you use a HTT multiplier that's one lower than the 3500+ when you OC.

I think you need to post the compare url for that score on that system... 2gigs or ram or not... actually they all need links to the compare urls 😉
