I've found to my chagrin that my GTX 570 (2xDVI, 1xmini-HDMI) only supports 2 connections at a time. I only have 1 PCI express x 16 slot.

It seems my only cheaper solution is to get a PCIx1 video card. There's a Zotac GT520 one for $60 on Newegg, to drive my 3rd monitor.

Has anyone else here used this and can confirm it works? I only need regular Windows 7 desktop use that fits the windows together in various extended ways (2 left vertical 1920x1080, 1 right 30" 2560x1600), not games.

Just keep in mind, a 2560x1600 display needs dual-link DVI. Make sure whichever card you choose to plug that display into supports that.
