pcie x1 cards

so i know that there are PCIe x1 network cards and raid controlers, but where are the wireless network cards and tv tuner cards. I read on the ati site that the 550 theater pro would support PCIe x1 cards. where are they? when will we see them.

Well, neither of those specific cards you mentioned need more than PCI bandwidth yet, so its really up to the company whether they want to or not. They don't really need to at this point. Motherboard manufacturers won't ditch PCI for a while.

That said, I'm hoping within the next few months all cards will be available in a PCI-E x1+ flavor.

I too would like to see more x1 cards come out since I just ordered an SN25P SFF and it only has a PCI-E x16 and x1 slot.

I want to see some affordable PCIe SCSI cards! 🙂 LSI Logic has dipped their toe in the water with this one but it's *cough* a tad expensive for what I'm doing 😕
