PCIe Slots Won't Work

I just bought a Foxconn P35A-s and I flashed the bios with the latest version. I have been using a pci graphic card, but I want to use a pci express ATI 1950Pro. When I put in the express card, I get no video. I even put in different pci express card and it didn't work either. I tried both pci express slots and I get the same result. Then I even took my 1950 to a friend's and put it in his computer and it works fine.

Something I noticed: when I use the pci graphics card the mobo led goes out and everything works fine. When I put in the express card the led stays on and reboots a couple times with no video, ever. Is there a setting in the bios that i need to change to enable pci express? Am I just a n00b?

I have a 600w ultra psu and my 1950 is plugged into it. Any advice would be awesome! 🙂

Turtlesfreak,

Not sure I understand the difference between a "pci graphics card" and a "PCI Express card." You have PCI-E X slots on the mobo, so that's what you use for a graphics card, isn't it? If that doesn't work, I'd say something is wrong with the mobo. First make sure the PCI-E is enabled in the BIOS, like Jeremy suggested. Have you called Foxconn tech support and asked them about the problem? What did they say?

Would appreciate feedback from you. I'm thinking about getting one of these...
