PCIe Riser Cards / splitters

I am using an ML07B mini-ITX case. So I have one physical card slot, though I have two expansion slots (case supports dual slot graphics). I was wondering if such a riser card - or even a flex cable PCIe splitter - exists that would allow me to use a single-slot graphics card and a M.2-PCIe adapter (4X PCIe) off of my H97I-Plus's lone PCIe 16X slot.

Would this require motherboard support, or would it be pretty much seamless? I'm still in the opening stages of looking into this, so consider this a thought experiment, I guess.

will work if your motherboard supports bifurcating pci express slots.

Need to figure out about the board. Looks like I might be out of luck, Z97 is supposed to bifurcation but H97 may not.
