I'm out of PCI slots in my system and I want to add in an HDTV tuner card for OTA broadcasts (yes, it's available in my area and I'm 15 miles from the transmitter). I remember them being nonexistant a few months ago, has anything changed or is there anything coming soon I should look for?

Yeah, I'd need something that'll work in the US. Thanks for the link though.

<RANT> i'd say its about damn time to see some PCIe peripherals - PCIe mobos have been out for years, and so far all we have to show for it is SATA-II cards, which are useless considering Intel and AMD both have integrated SATA-II controllers. where are the PCIe sound cards, physics cards, TV tuners, etc? </RANT>

Vbox 3560 USB HDTV tuner and WatchHDTV.net (need MPEG2 decoders; Nvidia Pure Video is very nice)

Nice combo!

:)

I'd imagine that once ATI gets control of their Theater 650 situation, someone will release a PCI-e flavor. I know you can find PCI-e Theater 550s out there...

I can attest that this is a good tuner.
Just set mine up in SageTV today as tuner #2.

I noticed when I was scanning for channels it had better signal strength than my PCI AverMedia A180.

Gave it a good test as well recording 2 shows simultaneously.
Just watched a couple of minutes of both recordings, but they appear to both be flawless.

Here's a link to where I bought mine.
