PCIE Fatal Error handling

Hi,
I could not locate any discussion on this topic, and hence starting a new thread.

I have a PCIE (Gen3) add-on card, connected to a Host Linux motherboard.
I observe that there are occasional PCIE Fatal Errors at my Endpoint side.
Could somebody clarify on
1. How the endpoint is expected to behave ?
2. Is there any defined mechanism to communicate this Fatal back to the Host containing the Root-complex
3. Is there any way to get the similar status of the PCIE Fatal receptions at the Host (Root-complex) ?

Take the add-on card out for me, reboot the server and make sure the error does not come back.
If the error does not come back, power off the server, reset the add-on card carefully power it back on.
Tell us if you get the same error again, while your at it provide us your server specs linux os name and version.
