Yep, X800 or 6600GT. You have a nice system, though, so if you want to game at high res with AA, the XL is definitely worth the extra ~$80-100. 50% higher price for more than 50% greater performance at high res (thanks to double the memory, double the memory bandwidth, and lots more fillrate).

there is a vanilla 6800 pcie, they just made it from a different chip then the ones used on the agp version, the only thing is the 4 pipes cannot be unlocked on the pcie version

though if you can afford the x800 xl at 269, its well worth it, a lot more card

theres one on newegg for $190...n theres no need of 256mb, just a waste of money spending $250 to get 256mb on the Vanilla...might as well get the Pro or XL!!

that would be the best card under 200 dollars, 256 meg and 256 bit interface

It's 128 meg, but yes, still a good price.

EDIT: Ah - it's OEM. That would be why.

It may have 128 meg but at least its on a 256 bit memory bus.

Even the 9500's and 9700's had 256.

I'd take the x800, 12 pipes aswell.

Good deal.

I don't see why a 256bit memory interface matters if the card gets outperformed. I'll put my 128bit 6600GT up against a 256bit 9700Pro any day.

Yes, the extra pipes are nice and that's a very good price, so yes, get the card I say. The only thing that would matter is if they want warranty coverage, which you generally don't get OEM - but if that's not an issue have at.

The alternative of course is to get a 6600GT and save about 40 bucks, but if 200 is your budget, go ahead with the X800.
