If you're going to connect a 7800 series card using this power adapter it stands to reason that you'd want to be across both 12v rails of your PSU. How do we go about determining which PSU pigtails are connected to which rail? And are the pigtails in fact separated at all.
Maybe one rail is pigtails for the HDDs/CD/DVD drives and the other rail feeds the motherboard only. Has anyone seen any discussion of these issues anywhere? I want to connect this card up so that it gets the correct amount of power but connecting both 4 pin molexes to the same rail doesn't, in my mind, really make any sense. That would be the same as connecting one of the connectors only.
