pcie 2.0 is worth it?

Im thinking of buying a new mobo, but here in chile things are a little expensive, so thats why I need to know if I will gain some fps by changing from an pcie x16 to a 2.0 using an 8800gt

It doesn't matter at this point. If you want to keep your mobo for a loooooong time, you might want to invest in it, but in most situations it's a waste of money.

it might be if your running a top of the line Quadro in 2 years...

Usually you get to pick other features first before PCIe 2.0 emerges as an issue, though. 😀
