I got this Airlink wireless 802.11g PCI adaptor from Fry's with the spec of PCI Rev 2.2. I tried it on a Pentium II mobo Abit(BH6, I think it is PCI ver 2.0) and my systems got no video siginal and wouldn't boot. As soon as I took it off everything went back to normal. My question is this just a bad card? or the mobo's PCI revision is too out dated and not compitiable with the V.2.2?

TIA!

The BX chipset features revision 2.1 of the PCI specification.

I think you have a bad card, and your problems should not be related to PCI specification issues.

PCI 2.2 didn't really bring anything new over 2.1 on the mainboard side.

The problem often is that these wireless "PCI" cards actually consist of a PCI-CardBus adapter and a cardbus card behind it. Some desktop mainboards crash miserably when encountering that.

But the first thing I would do is to try the card in a different slot or slots - perferably with no other cards in the system at the time except for the video card, of course.
