pci tv tuner or usb?

i was lookign to buy an hdtv tv tuner card and wanted pci but i was offered a usb one from someone and hes going to throw in an antenna that he was using

are there any drawbacks from using a usb hdtv tuner or is it the same?
 
Should be the same (if it is the same tuner, just in USB 2 form instead of PCI), I use a USB one so I can interchange it between my notebook computer and my desktop PC.
 
PCI tuners are generally better, but it's nothing to do with the interface, it's the market segment that each interface targets. The PCI cards are aimed at people that really know what they're doing, and the USB tuners are aimed at convenience. But like the guy above me said, it doesn't matter what the interface itself is, it depends on the tuner itself.
