pci to cardbus bridge drivers for XP?

Archman

Senior member
Looking for the PCI to CARDBUS bridge drivers for XP for my laptop. Looking into device manager and I see that the drivers have not been installed.

What directory would I find them in on the install CD?

Thank you

Panasonic Toughbook CF-28.

I have looked through the toughbook website, but do not see drivers for that.

I did find two files on the Windows Install CD in the \I386 folder.

PCMCIA.SY_

&

PCMCIA.IN_

Now what is weird is that they are missing the last letter for the type of file (*.IN_ instead of *.INF).

Would those be the files needed, and if so, how do I get them to work? Would I have to uncompress them, rename them, or...?

Thank you

Try updating drivers in device manager.
Put windows cd in and tell it to search the cd for the drivers.

I presume you are getting yellow exclamation marks in dev manager?

You are correct!

Exclamation marks for the both of them.

I put the windows CD in and told it to search the CD, but no luck 🙁

Run Everest or AIDA.

Get the chipset your mobo uses then try download the chipset drivers -
Or just go to the lappy manufacturer's site and download the chipset drivers.
