pci.sys/ntldr is missing probs

okay so i go to install windows xp pro on my new computer. i keep getting these stupid ****** messages/////pci.sys 0.00007.../ntldr is missing press a key to restart now this has been goin on with two different copies of xp it wont even get to the point of installing xp and give me these messages.

does anyone have any idea what is wrong? ive tried wiping the harddrive,different xp versions...
