I think some have said they are kind of noisy but I suppose you could get a control with it and turn it back if bothersome. Never tried one myself.

I've had one in the past don't think they did much really IMO for my temps.

I gather they blow air out aswell, I could see them having at least a little use if they blew cold air in for the video card, for people who really wanted every last mhz overclock out of it and didnt want to cut a hole for a door fan.

I've never used one but I'd imagine getting stronger case fan(s) would be more effective.

I always wondered about that. To me it makes a lot of sense to have a slot fan blowing right onto the video hsf but all those slot blowers are exhaust. The next best thing imo, is the nvidia 5800-type solution, with a whole hsf unit on the card exhausting the hot air out. With most setups now, the slot blower and hsf on the vga card sort of compete for air as they blow in opposite directions.
