PCI/SATA question

I am planning on setting up a raid array, and I currently have 4 matched SATA hard drives. However, my motherboard does not support SATA and it only has PCI 32 bit/33 Mhz slots. I am planning on buying this card. However, I don't know what type of performance hits I will take with everything going through old PCI slots. If you could give me your opinion or point me toward any literature, I would appreciate it.
