PCI- PCI Express

This may be a dumb question, but I have to ask. I'm looking for a brand name video card (good customer service) like ASUS that can drive a second monitor on my linux box. I've been told Nvidia has good drivers for this sort of thing, but it's hard to find brand name PCI video cards. Will a PCI Express video card fit into a PCI slot? I'm guessing no, but I have to ask to make sure.

NO. PCI and PCI-E are totally different, totally incompatible (at least on a physical level) interfaces. Yes, the naming is misleading. And don't even get me started on "PCI-X".

Please do some amount of research before asking questions. This is a no-brainer, and has been asked repeatedly before.

I did do some research, I guess I didn't read the wording carefully enough in these websites
