pci or agp?

I have searched but to no real avail. I have an old abit be6 II vers. 2 mobo. It has an agp 1x/2x ability. With the recent purchase of a dell fp 18", I want to utilize the dvi . Sssssooooooo, would a pci or agp card with dvi etc. be the ticket? I have found that some 2x/4x agp cards might work but there is a grey area concerning their actual spec. Anyone recommend a good cheap/ middle of the road that would work best here??
