PCI or AGP video card?

I'm building a new PC, and I have a couple video cards laying around, so I was wondering which one y'all think I should use for gaming.

1) PCI BFG FX5500 OC 256mb

or...

2) AGP PNY FX5200 128mb

It seems to me like the first one would be the best choice, but I don't know if AGP makes a big difference.

AGP > PCI. Video cards, even slightly older ones are choked by the PCI bus.

For gaming, you'll want a new video card.

PCI-E>AGP>PCI. You will definetly want a new video card for gaming. Why don't you buy a PCI-E motherboard?

Okay, so you think the second one will perform slighty better than the first?

Being poor, a new video card is out of the question lol. I'm not going to be doing hard core gaming, mainly Counter-Strike and some design programs (autocad, macromedia stuff).

How much more would it be? (comparable in all aspects to the board I got, expet with PCI-E)

Or if you guys know of a better board for under 114, tell me what you think. I'll make a new topic about what board I should get in the motherboard forum, so post there if you have any suggestions.

The 5500 will be faster than the 5200 . I read some reviews on newegg since I couldn't find any others.

the 5200 in agp will be faster, pci is a huge bottleneck

the msi neo-2 plat is 119 at newegg, it has a 25 MIR which would put it comfortably under 114 and it is the consensus best skt 939 agp board

you could sell both videocards and get a pci-e board (i would suggest the epox at 108) and a x700 pro at newegg for 105 which would utterly kill those cards in gaming

The 5500 is basically just a slightly overclocked 5200...unless the bus is 128bit, then well, i'd still go with the 5200 because agp is alot faster.

Mabe.. But I just put a fx5700le pci in my girlfreinds e- machine and it's as fast as the benchmarks I see for the 5700 agp in comparable systems. why? There's little bottleneck if any.
