PCI NICs that work with Windows 7?

My friend came to me looking for a hardwired NIC (most likely PCI), that is compatible with Windows 7. (Apparently, the onboard on that mobo is flaky, so he wants a card.)

I have some TrendNet PCI gigabit cards that I picked up some time, probably last year. Anyone know if they work? I think that they have a good chance, I think that there is a RealTek chipset onboard.

I imagine that any modern PCI NIC would work. Worst-case scenario, you would have to use drivers designed for Vista or XP.

Anything with a Realtek controller should be fine and supported with Realtek's periodic driver updates:

Anything with a Realtek 8169 (PCI Gigabit Ethernet) will work.

Most Wired Intel NIC's work fine. the Pro 1000GT would be my suggestion for quality if you need a PCI NIC for 7
