PCI IRQ sharing

I am running WinMe on ECS K7VZM, and the AGP and PCI128 sound card
are sharing IRQ 10. DMA enabled on my DVD drive.
When I play a DVD movie, the sound starts to stuter at some point
and the system hangs.
Is the IRQ sharing got anything to do with it ? How can I force
the sound card to use IRQ 5 which is not used ?

Yup, it could very well be the cause.

Get that sound card in another PCI slot (I assume its sitting right next to your video card). That will get it a new IRQ.

Sound and Network Cards need IRQ #s and its best that they have there own (unshared).

Moved sound card to the next PCI slot, and it is assigned IRQ 9 by
itself.
Games are playing great, but DVD still hangs the system after a few
min of playing.
I turned off DMA for the DVD drive, but that didn'y help.
The AGP card is ATI RAGE 128, and the player is ATI DVD 3.20.

Any ideas why DVD playback doesn't work ?
