Hello all

Could you tell me the easiest way to change my hard drive booting from one PCI IDE card non RAID to another PCI IDE card non RAID?

I have Windows XP Pro SP2.

I just don't want to have to reinstall windows, would a repair install work??

If this is not enough info just ask.

Used to be the bios would start looking at the pci cards from the bottom slot up, picking the first one it saw as the one to boot from.

So you might just have to switch the slots the two cards are in to make the bios boot from the other.

Both cards in the system at the same time, so you get both drivers loaded, then switch the drives.
