How much difference in performance does the pci-express bus have over the agp slot? I have a 6800 GT plugged into the agp slot. How many percentages am I below the pci express version?
 
From what I've seen/understand, there is hardly any performance boost from PCIe yet. But their definately will be in the future.
 
There is not really a dif in performance right now. But as previous said, there will be in the future. And eventually you will be upgrading anyway🙂 As the AGP slot will fade away.
 
I think that by the time video cards really start to take advantage of the extra bandwidth of PCI-E, AGP will be falling into extinction anyway, and you'll be ready for another upgrade by then. Don't worry about it. 🙂
