I am looking for a decent pci express card with atleast 256 mb and VDI, or should I stay with 128 mb.

You need to let us know what you planning on doing with the card, your price range, and what the rest of your rig has in it for anyone to be able to provide you with a reasonable answer.

Its Intel D915PBL with P4 3.4 , not sure what brand of memory (DDR2 400) to get for this board. I am looking to play games like Halo, Half Life 2.

As for budget I am looking to spend between $100-$150 as I dont know why DDR2 is so expensive.

I think you can swing an X700pro 128mb card for that. 6600gt is good too, but I'm not sure about the cost of those.

Is there a that much difference in getting a 256 vs 128. Which one of these is better ?
MSI
PNY

I think these are two are better cards than 9700 pro as it has slower clock cycle .

Probably want to get the 6600GT instead, it costs about 180 right now, and is much better than the X700Pro.

As for 256 vs 128, the only difference you'll notice is when playing at resolutions above 7x10. Once you get up there the lower cards will take a hit. But for your budget there really isn't a 256 card available.
