I installed SoftFSB and kept increasing to 112. Now I get blue screens right when the music plays at start up in Windows 98SE. It will say either TBS PCI ERROR or some VXD error. I changed the SoftFSB settings back to default and uninstalled it. I reinstalled all drivers for my sound card--that didn't work. I then reinstalled Win98--that didn't work either. Did I kill my sound card with this f*cking SoftFSB? Please help!

shanester - get the new SBLive! 3.0 Liveware! drivers. I had that same problem with my Celeron2-566 and my SBLive till I installed new drivers. If you aren't using a SBLive or a coppermine I dont know then.

I'm using an Athlon 700 Tbird on an Asus K7M with a Turtle Beach Montego A3DXstream sound card. I think the problem is definitley with the sound card but I did everything I could think of to remedy the situation. Everything was working fine before using Softfsb. Could I damage my sound card by raising the fsb too high?

the possibility is there... I think the only way to test it out is to put it in another system, and see if it works.
