PCI-e SATA card & HDD light

I have an old MOBO GA-965P-DS3 that I added a SATA III PCI-e card to for the SSD. Unfortunately, the HDD light doesn't blink in this configuration. Is there a possible way to fix that? I kinda doubt it, but I'll ask anyway.

The SATA controller card itself should have a header to attach the HDD activity LED to.

At least, controllers I've bought in the past had that.

Some of the better laid out controllers have pass through headers where one pair of pins output to the light and the other leads back to the motherboard. Most of the time you are left with an either/or situation or if its a prebuilt system, the headers will be a block so you can't break it off to the controller.
